BuzzFeed terminates UK and Australian news operations

BuzzFeed has decided to terminate news operations in UK and Australia due to economic and strategic reasons and would focus on news in US. Reportedly, about 10 employees from UK and four from Australia have been affected by the move. BuzzFeed's operations except US include UK, Australia, Germany and Brazil, whose revenues fell by 35%, as per a recent filing.
