BV Nayak quits K'taka Congress as ticket given to brother's wife

Former Congress MP BV Nayak quit the party on Tuesday after being denied a ticket to the Devadurga constituency in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. A ticket to the seat has been given to his brother's wife, Shreedevi R Nayak. The party released fourth list of seven candidates on Tuesday and fielded ex-CM Jagadish Shettar from the Hubli-Dharwad-Central Assembly constituency.
