BWSSB limits expanded to entire Bengaluru Urban district

The Karnataka government has expanded BWSSB’s jurisdiction to cover the entire Bengaluru Urban district. The board will oversee drinking water, underground drainage and sewage treatment in the expanded areas. Newly added villages, including parts of Yelahanka and Anekal, will not get Cauvery water immediately and will continue to depend on groundwater for now.
