BYJU's owned WhiteHat Jr fires 300 employees, more layoffs reportedly expected

BYJU's owned ed-tech startup WhiteHat Jr has laid off 280-300 employees with more layoffs expected, amid a string of layoffs in the sector, reports said on Tuesday. The layoffs have reportedly affected employees from the WhiteHat Jr sales and marketing teams in Brazil and India. About 800 employees of the firm had resigned in May after being asked to relocate.
