ByteDance sues Tencent in China for $14M over monopolistic behaviour

TikTok-parent ByteDance has sued Tencent in China over monopolistic behaviour for $14 million. ByteDance alleged that Tencent restricts users from sharing the content of ByteDance's Douyin on its chat apps which should be prohibited by anti-monopoly law. "We believe that competition is better for consumers and promotes innovation," a ByteDance spokesperson said.
