ByteDance suspends launch of AI video model amid copyright issues

TikTok parent ByteDance has suspended the launch of its AI video-generation model, Seedance ​2.0, after multiple copyright disputes with Hollywood studios ‌and streaming platforms, The Information reported. This comes after Disney ​sent a cease-and-desist letter to ByteDance, accusing it of ​using Disney characters to train Seedance 2.0. Paramount also sent a similar letter and Netflix followed.
