The Indian Air Force (IAF) ended its association with Sachin Tendulkar after dropping him as its brand ambassador. The legend was conferred with the rank of a Group Captain, the first person with no aviation background to receive the honour, to motivate the younger generation to take up a IAF career but the association fell short on those expectations.
