Cab driver beats elderly man for asking him not to spit, Maha Dy CM directs attempt to murder case

A video showing a cab driver assaulting an elderly man for asking him to not to spit on road in Maharashtra's Thane has sparked outrage. Taking cognisance, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde directed Thane Police Commissioner to book the accused under BNS Section 109 (attempt to murder). Shinde said violence against a person for raising concerns about littering won't be tolerated.
