Cabinet approves Ahmedabad metro expansion, projects in Amravati

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a 6 km expansion of the Ahmedabad metro at the cost of ₹2,169 crore, to be built in four years. The extension will take the total metro network to 78 km. The Cabinet also approved construction of central government offices and residential accommodation in Andhra Pradesh's Amravati at an estimated cost of ₹2,534 crore.
