Cabinet approves ITLA for unified transport planning

The Union Cabinet approved the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority (ITLA), a national apex body to unify transport planning across state and central governments. It will coordinate infrastructure ministries, conduct research on new transport modes, formulate long-term master plans up to 30 years, and build a unified transport data repository using GSTN, FASTag, and GPS systems.
