Cabinet clears ₹18,509 cr rail projects to boost freight logistics

Cabinet has approved 3 rail projects of the Ministry of Railways involving an investment of ₹18,509 crore. These include 3rd & 4th rail lines on Kasara-Manmad, Delhi-Ambala, and Ballari-Hosapete sections. The capacity augmentation is projected to generate additional freight traffic of nearly 96 MTPA, helping shift cargo from road to rail.
