CAG flags K'taka's scheme for women, says '₹46 cr given without bank details'

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has flagged alleged irregularities in the implementation of Karnataka’s 'Gruhalakshmi' scheme, stating that ₹46.52 crore was disbursed to 23,262 beneficiaries with no bank account details in the records. The audit also found 19,020 beneficiaries linked to common bank account numbers. The scheme provides ₹2,000/month to female heads of eligible families.
