CAIT projects Diwali festive sales to cross ₹7 lakh cr across India

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has projected Diwali festive turnover of over ₹7 lakh crore across India, including over ₹1 lakh crore in Delhi. CAIT's Praveen Khandelwal said political activity and repeated disruptions had affected Delhi's trading conditions over the past month. He attributed the projections to returning customers and renewed interest in traditional market shopping.
