Calcutta HC directs CBI to speed up fresh probe in RG Kar case

The Calcutta High Court has directed the CBI to expedite its fresh probe into the RG Kar rape-murder case. The bench expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress and asked the agency to show concrete results by August 28. It also stressed that the new investigation must be conducted independently of the earlier probe and findings.
