Call claiming to be from govt, asking people to pay customs duty is fake

People are receiving fake calls claiming they are from the Customs Department. The fact-checking unit of the government, PIB Fact Check, took to X to clarify that such calls are a part of a scam and that "Indian Customs never calls or texts to pay customs duty in personal bank accounts".
