Call of Duty slammed for using real Itaewon crush footage

South Korean bereaved families and civic groups have formally demanded Activision remove real footage of the 2022 Itaewon crowd crush from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The game uses clips — including CPR scenes and rows of bodies — to depict civilian casualties. Activision confirmed the footage's use but denied intent to trivialise the disaster that killed more than 150 people.
