Cambodia's Siem Reap province bans dog meat trade, consumption

Cambodia's Siem Reap province, home to the Angkor Wat temple complex, has outlawed trade and consumption of dog meat. The order declares that trading in dog meat is punishable according to the law on animal health and production, with violators facing up to five years in prison and fines of 7 to 50 million riel (around ₹1,28,700 to ₹9,19,600).
