Can Oil Palm Pollen sensitization cause allergic diseases?

A study published in the World Allergy Organization Journal found a significant association between Elaeis guineensis (Ela g, oil palm) pollen sensitization and allergic diseases. People sensitive to oil palm pollen have higher risks of asthma, allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis along with wheezing, nocturnal cough, and exacerbations.
