Ex-India captain Sunil Gavaskar, commenting on Sanju Samson's poor outing in India-New Zealand T20I series, said Samson may be omitted from India's playing XI for T20 World Cup 2026 unless Tilak Varma is unfit. "In a big tournament like the World Cup, you can't take chances...Samson's been getting out in odd ways. That shows a lack of confidence," he added.
