Can't tax protein powder as drink because consumers mix it with milk: SC

Supreme Court ruled that protein powder cannot be taxed as beverage simply because consumers mix it with milk/water before drinking it. The ruling came in a tax dispute between MP government and Cadila Healthcare over the classification of its products. SC said tax treatment must be based on product’s form at time of sale, not how consumers use it later.
