Relatives of an Indian man named in Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun's murder plot have refuted allegations. "Don't know if US is telling the truth," his mother said. On US accusing him of directing another Indian citizen to pay $15,000 to kill Pannun, his cousin said, "Where will so much money come from? Can you see any Audis...lined up outside?"
