Canada denied visas to over 70% of Indians seeking to attend FIFA World Cup

Canada rejected over 70% of visa applications from Indians who applied to attend FIFA World Cup matches in the country. Nearly 17,000 people globally applied for visas to watch the tournament, but only 41% of applications were approved, Canada said. Indians were the fourth-largest applicant group, with 1,225 applications, of which only 355, or around 29%, were approved.
