Canada earn their 1st point in FIFA World Cup history
Canada recorded their first-ever men's FIFA World Cup point, drawing 1-1 in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener in Toronto after losing all six previous matches in 1986 and 2022. Substitute Cyle Larin scored a 78th-minute equaliser after Jovo Lukić had put Bosnia and Herzegovina ahead. Notably, it was the first men's FIFA World Cup match played on Canadian soil.
