Canada eyes India as key trade partner amid trade war with US
Canadian PM Mark Carney praised the country's economy amid a trade war with US, saying, "Canadian businesses...enjoy tariff-free access to 1.5 billion consumers." "Over the next six months, we will double that number through new trade deals, from ASEAN to India," he said. India and Canada are negotiating a trade pact, aiming to finalise it by the end of 2026.
