Canada FM backs ICC, ICJ amid US sanctions on court

Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand stressed the need to support international adjudicatory institutions like the ICC and ICJ, calling them vital enforcement mechanisms for territorial integrity and human rights. Her remarks came after the US imposed sanctions on the ICC. She spoke alongside India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar at Bloomberg New Economy 2026 in New Delhi.
