Canada is discussing a trade deal with the US after President Donald Trump imposed 50% tariffs on imports effective August 19, Reuters reported, citing source familiar with the matter. Canada has proposed removing tariffs on American autos and bringing American alcohol back to stores. In exchange, the US will reduce existing tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminium, said the source.
