Canada must temporarily ban foreigners from purchasing homes, the housing minister said. He said that homes must not be treated as passive foreign investment and also backed density measures, like those in New Zealand, that seek to maximise number of homes that can be built on the same land. Canada is grappling with a national housing affordability crisis.
