Canada reopens border to vaccinated US citizens after 16 months
Canada on Monday opened its border to fully vaccinated American tourists for the first time in 16 months, causing long queues at border checkpoints. The country had barred all leisure travel from the US in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The reopening of the borders comes as new COVID-19 cases and hospitalisations in US hit a six-month high.
