Canadian cop who attended Khalistan protest outside temple demoted

A Canadian police officer who took part in a pro-Khalistan protest outside a Hindu temple in November 2024 has been temporarily demoted but will be reinstated to full rank after serving the penalty period. Peel Regional Police Sergeant Harinder Sohi had joined the protest, which turned violent. The Canadian Organisation for Hindu Heritage Education said the punishment was inadequate.
