Canadian fans boo USA flag at FIFA WC opening ceremony in Toronto

Canadian fans booed the US flag during the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony in Toronto on Friday. In videos circulating on social media, fans could be heard booing as the flag was carried onto the pitch ahead of Canada's clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Earlier, the US flag was also booed during the tournament's opening ceremony in Mexico.
