Canadian IT company OpenText laying off 1,200 employees

Canada-based information technology company OpenText announced that it is reducing its workforce by 1.7% to reduce expenses. The OpenText layoffs would affect around 1,200 employees and help the company save cost which it would reinvest annually in 800 new roles to sales and engineering departments to support its growth.
