Canadian police seize ₹24 cr worth of fake football gear ahead of FIFA WC

Toronto Police seized over $2.53 million (₹24.07 crores) worth of counterfeit football merchandise from a warehouse in Canada's Mississauga, including over 16,000 fraudulent jerseys and two counterfeit World Cup trophies. This seizure, which police called the largest known in Canadian history, came days ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Police said two men have been arrested and charged.
