Canadian sniper breaks longest kill record with 3.5 km shot

A Canadian elite special forces soldier has broken the world record for longest sniper shot by killing an Islamic State insurgent within 10 seconds from a distance of 3,450 metres during an insurgency operation in Iraq, according to reports. The world record was previously held by a British sniper who shot a Taliban gunman from 2,475 metres away in 2009.
