Canadian wildfire smoke reaches New York, AQI rises above 200

Smoke from wildfires in Canada has reached New York, pushing the city's AQI above 200 and reducing visibility to less than a mile. Smell of burning wood has spread across the city, which is shrouded in an orange haze, reports said. Hazardous air quality alerts have also been issued for other US cities like Chicago, Grand Rapids, Pittsburgh and Toledo.
