Canadians thought we were criminals: Ex-Indian envoy on Trudeau’s Nijjar allegations

Sanjay Kumar Verma, ex-Indian High Commissioner to Canada, said tensions after allegations by ex-PM Justin Trudeau against India in Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case severely strained ties. He said Canadians thought Indian diplomats were criminals, questioning who would amend the damage to our emotional fabric. "We're soldiers of India...and we'll take it in stride," he added.
