Cancer drug price cap to have limited hospital EBITDA impact
Goldman Sachs and Jefferies say India's 30% trade margin cap on non-scheduled anti-cancer drugs will minimally affect hospital earnings, as oncology medicines form under 5% of revenue. The cap could cut drug prices by up to 70%, saving patients ₹2,500 crore annually. Any near-term margin pressure is expected to be transitory.
