Cannes festival venue opens doors to homeless amid lockdown

France's Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, venue for the Cannes Film Festival, has opened its doors to the homeless people amid lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. "We've between 50-70 people here every night," said an official at Cannes Town Hall. The Cannes Film Festival 2020 was scheduled from May 12-23 but it has now been postponed until late June.
