Can't have 50% quota for women in National Defence Academy: SC

Supreme Court (SC) noted on Friday that it cannot prescribe a 50% quota for women in the National Defence Academy (NDA). The court said this while turning down a plea by a former female NDA aspirant, who claimed that she was denied admission over her male counterparts who had scored lesser marks. Women were allowed admission into NDA in 2021.
