Capgemini's Thierry Delaporte named as Wipro CEO and MD, to work from Paris

Bengaluru-based IT services giant Wipro has appointed Capgemini's Chief Operating Officer Thierry Delaporte as its CEO and Managing Director with effect from July 6. Abidali Neemuchwala will relinquish his position as CEO and MD on June 1 and Chairman Rishad Premji will oversee the day-to-day operations until July 5. Delaporte will be based in Paris and report to Rishad Premji.
