Captain arrested after 8 die in ferry capsize off northern Cyprus

The captain and eight other crew members of a ferry that sank off northern Cyprus, killing eight people, have been arrested. The cause of the incident remains unclear, with an investigation underway. The vessel had 259 passengers on board and was travelling from Kyreneia in Cyprus to the Turkish port of Taşucu when it sank around midday.
