Captain Geetika Koul becomes 1st woman medical officer to be deployed at Siachen

Captain Geetika Koul from the Snow Leopard Brigade has become the first woman medical officer of the Indian Army to be deployed at the world's highest battlefield, Siachen, the Indian Army said on Tuesday. She completed her training at Siachen Battle School. The induction training reportedly covers several aspects such as high-altitude acclimatisation and survival techniques.
