Car carrying military official explodes in Russia's St Petersburg

A car carrying a Russian military ​serviceman and his wife exploded in St Petersburg ‌on Thursday, killing the official instantly, Russian media reported. The man has been identified by the local media as a lieutenant ​colonel, adding that his wife was rushed to ​hospital. Russia has in the past blamed Ukraine for a string of assassinations of senior military officials.
