Cardiologist reveals whther coconut oil is good or bad for health
Cardiologist Dr Deebanshu Gupta said that coconut oil is "neither a miracle nor an enemy". He said that coconut oil contains a high level of saturated fat, more than 80%. While coconut oil may increase HDL, or “good” cholesterol, Dr Gupta cautioned that it also significantly raises LDL, the “bad” cholesterol, which is a major contributor to cardiovascular disease.
