Cars worth ₹1.39 cr with manipulated engines seized in Pune, 4 held

Pune Police on Tuesday arrested four persons for allegedly selling stolen cars by manipulating them with parts from scrapped vehicles of similar make that were bought from insurance companies. Police have seized 13 cars worth ₹1.39 crore with manipulated chassis numbers and engines. "Because they also offered papers and insurance with the manipulated car, people bought them," police said.
