Cash-strapped Pakistan gets $3 billion Saudi relief as US aid hopes fade
Saudi Arabia has extended its $3 billion financing facility to Pakistan for a longer period, providing relief as Islamabad faces debt repayment pressure. The loan was originally given in April to help Pakistan repay $3.5 billion owed to the UAE and matured on October 31. The extension comes as hopes of proposed $10 billion US financial aid package have weakened.
