Casteism alive today due to SC/ST Act, reservations: BJP MLA

BJP MLA Surendra Singh on Sunday said that casteism is alive in society due to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act (SC/ST Act) and reservations provided to them. Singh further said that if the SC/ST Act is repealed, there will be no untouchability. The SC/ST Act is aimed to prevent atrocities and offences against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
