Casteist words used in Punjab Census form, Scheduled Caste body issues notice after outrage

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes took cognisance of casteist words in the online form for Census in Punjab. The commission issued notices to the Director of Census Operations (Punjab) and Principal Secretary of Punjab's Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. This comes after labour unions protested the usage of those words in the column meant for recording caste details.
