CBI books 6 firms for allegedly installing malware on people's computers

The Central Bureau of Investigation has booked six private firms for allegedly installing malware on people's computers under the pretense of providing anti-virus protection against bogus issues flagged through pop-ups. According to a CBI Spokesperson, victims were allegedly asked to contact customer support to install the anti-virus and make payments through an online link to resolve issues.
