CBI books Cadbury India for alleged tax fraud in Himachal Pradesh

CBI has booked Cadbury India, now known as Mondelez India Foods, for alleged corruption and fraudulently availing area-based tax benefits in Himachal Pradesh in 2010. CBI also booked 12 other individuals, including two former Central Excise officials. CBI said the Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence had earlier probed the matter and imposed a ₹241 crore fine on the company.
