CBI books PNB official for ₹168 cr fraud via fake bank guarantees

The CBI has registered an FIR against former Punjab National Bank (PNB) Manager Priya Ranjan Kumar and others, including two private companies, for an alleged ₹168.59 crore bank fraud. The accused, in conspiracy with others, issued 34 fake bank guarantees without making any entries in its core banking system Finacle, according to the CBI FIR.
